If you are a Southern Illinois University Edwardsville student or alumni, then you have likely participated in some of the fun events that were on campus last week. From the aforementioned inauguration ceremony to the opening ceremony for Native Heritage Month, the campus was abuzz with energy.

The award winning magazine Currents, if you haven’t already been sucked in by the name, is published by the Center for Academic Success in Education (CASE). It’s a publication that’s highly rated for its quality content. This includes a newsletter and blogs. Among the many publications, it’s the best for providing high-quality information for aspiring educators.

Aside from the aforementioned publication, CASE also offers a number of free resources to help students achieve their goals. One of the most popular and easiest to use is its free online career center. You can also check out CASE’s award-winning magazine, which provides information on degree programs, scholarships, and job opportunities.

Another cool thing is the special collection of historical research that has been donated to the university by the Douglas and Betty Noverr family. Although the contents of this collection have not been announced publicly, there’s no question it’s worth a closer look.

On a related note, the Center for Academic Success in Education has launched a website that allows for a virtual tour of SIUE’s campuses. In addition, the website features a “brief” section that’s easy to scan. Besides, the website’s main page also displays the latest news and important announcements.
