Exclusive: Trump says Iran is ready to make a deal but ‘the terms aren’t good enough yet’

In a phone call with Meet the Press moderator Kristen Welker, President Trump says Iran had been “defeated militarily” and was ready to make a deal but “the terms aren’t good enough yet,” declining to say what those terms are. He also said Iran’s Kharg Island, home to a critical oil terminal for the country, had been “decimated,” though he could hit it again “just for fun.”

About

Current News is a section of a television or radio newscast which covers a breaking news story that demands immediate coverage. This type of reporting may interrupt other non-news programs or, for national network newscasts, pause to allow affiliated stations to switch to the news feed. The breaking news segment begins with a distinctive graphics open, often accompanied by a special music cue. The news anchor then introduces the story. If the event is deemed to be of significant importance, lower thirds and other graphics may be altered to convey urgency. In North America, this type of reporting is most commonly seen during severe weather events that may require cutting into regular programming, such as tornado warnings.
