The AAEM recently established a regional chapter in Maryland and Virginia. The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Dental Medicine held its 20th annual White Coat Ceremony on April 19. Approximately two hundred and fifty dental students attended the ceremony. Six IAPP students were also recognized. The event was part of the university’s Honors Day celebrations. Honors Day honors outstanding students in nearly two dozen departments. During the convocation, Chancellor James T. Minor honored the graduates and gave them an honorary plaque.
