Democratic Campaigns Focus On Abortion After Kansas Vote

The term “breaking news” is often interchanged with other terms like “late-breaking news,” “special report” and even “news flash.” It is used to describe a story that is unfolding live and of high public interest. It may also be used to describe a story that was published previously, but is now of a different level of importance. The term is also sometimes used in lieu of “breaking news,” and is also used by news organizations to describe breaking stories.

While traditional broadcast TV remains the most popular form of news, more viewers are tuning in to streaming programs. A recent study showed that the average American spends more time watching streaming programming than traditional broadcast TV. In addition to being more convenient, it also allows networks to archive their content without incurring costs. Streaming also allows people to watch current news anywhere. As a result, current news is available in all kinds of media, from laptops to smartphones.

Breaking news can interrupt otherwise popular programming, especially when it occurs during prime time. It may also interfere with new programming and high-rated programs that have time left to air. For instance, ABC interrupted a Scandal episode in April 2017 when a missile landed in the Syrian town of Shayrat. However, while the news interrupted the show, it had little impact on viewers’ viewing. So, breaking news should be monitored closely. However, you don’t want to watch breaking news during primetime – it’s a waste of time!
