Officials from the U.S. and Iran appear to be nearing a deal to end the ongoing Middle-East conflict, according to public statements from President Donald Trump Saturday. “An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Saturday afternoon. NBC News’ Raf Sanchez reports.
Trending is the section of Current News that talks about what’s popular on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. The section is curated by the editors at Current and sometimes includes stories that have been viewed, liked or shared the most on other sites.
When a story breaks that entails an immediate, urgent news event that warrants the interruption of non-news programming (or, in some cases, regularly scheduled newscasts), broadcasters will notify their network affiliates to “stand by” and pause their feeds; a countdown sequence may then be displayed as stations switch over to the network’s breaking news feed. The network will then usually open with an alert crawl, often accompanied by a distinctive music cue.
