Current News services are a great way to stay up-to-date on news in your area. Many of these sites include links to local media, TV stations, and radio stations. It is a good idea to read the news for facts and not to form your own opinion. Some sites also host webinars with leaders in various fields.
In the past, news was available only through the town crier, who would whiz through the village bellowing the latest news. The town crier, however, was limited by distance and by the sources of information. The newssheet, on the other hand, had the advantage of being portable and sharable. It could also be archived for future reference. But the downside of news in print and on radio was that they were stuck in time. The same goes for cable news. Cable television, however, has one-upped both broadcast news services with live events.

Even though streaming doesn’t bring the same viewers, major networks are putting a lot of money into streaming services. While CNN+ failed to draw viewers, other networks are still hoping it will be profitable. Some networks are already making huge investments in streaming operations, like NBC News Now, which claims to stream 31 million hours of content a month.
For example, the American Academy of Emergency Medicine is currently hosting a free two-day course to help physicians become certified as an ED management professional. This course is open to all AAEM members, and is also open for voting for the California Chapter Division. In addition, the American Board of Medical Specialties is currently voting for the California Chapter Division of AAEM.
