Breaking news, also known as late-breaking news, is a term used in the television and radio news industry to describe the most significant stories of the day. It describes live stories and is often followed by the phrase “just in.” However, not all viewers find breaking news stories particularly important. The network also has the option of suspending commercial advertising during breaking news.
