Bodycam footage released by the NYPD shows the rescue of a woman in crisis who climbed the Brooklyn Bridge.
Footage shows an officer – secured by a harness – climbing up the bridge to reach the 31-year-old woman.
After nearly an hour of conversation, officers were able to escort the woman off the beam.

Trending is a term used by television and radio news organizations to talk about the stories that are getting the most attention from viewers. A story that is currently trending may be a result of a viral video, a breaking news event or an ongoing investigation. When an event is trending, a station will usually interrupt its current non-news programming or the network feed for a special report. Typically, the break is preceded by a countdown sequence and a distinctive music cue. A special graphics package, often with a lower third, is also used to convey the urgency of the situation.
