Breaking news is a type of news that happens in real time and requires immediate reporting. It can be about anything from natural disasters to significant political events or accidents, and is often characterized by its urgency and immediacy. This type of news is often reported in the form of live reports that feature eyewitness accounts and public reactions, as well as updated information as more facts are revealed. In addition to the need for speed, breaking news also poses ethical considerations when covering tragedies or ongoing investigations, as journalists must weigh the desire to provide updates with their responsibility to report truthfully and avoid spreading misinformation.
