Streaming TV is similar to conventional television in appearance and format. Major streaming networks schedule regular nightly news shows and offer documentaries and news analysis. They also repurpose programming from cable and broadcast networks. Often, they focus on breaking news, reruns, and documentaries. The service is available around the clock and has been around for about 10 years.

ABC, CBS, and NBC have all launched streaming versions of their news products. However, they have not yet succeeded in attracting viewers, despite investing millions of dollars in the projects.
