The American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) has teamed up with the American Medical Association and the American Board of Emergency Medicine to launch a joint EM Pain and Procedural Committee. Both organizations are dedicated to advancing the field of emergency medicine, and these initiatives will benefit the field. In addition, AAEM has launched a new regional chapter in Maryland.
In honor of Native Heritage Month, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is hosting an opening ceremony, in-person and virtual, on Oct. 16. The ceremony will take place at the Morris University Center in the International Room. SIUE associate professor of history, Derek A. Houston, says these events will help students, faculty, and alumni connect with their elected officials.
