Jeffries says House Democrats will push for extension of Affordable Care Act tax credits

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., tells reporters that House Democrats will attempt to force a vote on a three-year extension of the Affordable Care Act tax credits, which would provide a “level of certainty” to working class Americans. The House is expected to vote on the legislation that would end the longest shutdown in history, which the Senate passed Monday, after eight Senate Democrats peeled off and voted with Republicans to break a filibuster and move to end the shutdown.
