New York City Mayor Eric Adams declares a state of emergency over thousands of migrants being sent to the city from Texas. With the number of people in shelters about to break an all-time record, the mayor is now planning to open tent camps and even house migrants on cruise ships. NBC News’ Priscilla Thompson reports.

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville recently honored 10 graduates at its 2022 Alumni Hall of Fame ceremony. The event was held in the Morris University Center Meridian Ballroom and celebrated those graduates who have exemplified SIUE’s mission and values. The university has also set new enrollment records for the fall of 2022. SIUE’s overall enrollment is now at a 44-year high. Moreover, the university is experiencing a record international enrollment growth.
