The AAEM has joined the American Medical Association and the American Board of Emergency Medicine to establish a regional chapter in Maryland and Virginia. In addition, the AAEM and the American Board of Emergency Medicine have formed the EM Pain and Procedural Committee. These organizations support the work of the AAEM to promote quality care in emergency medicine.
In addition to its awards and accolades, SIUE also continued its Homecoming festivities. Several alumni and friends of the university visited campus to celebrate the university’s diversity. In addition, the university is celebrating nine consecutive years of receiving the INSIGHT Into Diversity’s Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award. The award recognizes colleges and universities across the country for their efforts in diversity.
