The American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) has teamed up with the American Medical Association (AMA) to form a new regional chapter in Virginia and Maryland. The AAEM has also partnered with the American Board of Emergency Medicine to form a joint committee for pain management in the emergency department. The committee was formed as part of the AAEM’s Pain and Procedural Committee.
