Memphis police say they have found the SUV Eliza Fletcher had been allegedly forced into. Authorities say they also detained the vehicle’s male occupant, but they still have not found Fletcher. Police searched Fletcher’s home Friday for clues, taking a laptop and garden shears and towing away a vehicle. The avid runner was on a morning jog early Friday near the University of Memphis when an unknown person approached, according to police. Fletcher was then allegedly forced into a dark SUV. Her prominent Memphis family offered $50,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Current News is presented in a variety of formats. It can be categorized into three general types, each focusing on one aspect of news. These forms are newsgathering, public relations, and public affairs. Media outlets are also divided into types of content. Some types of news are more likely to be popular in a given country or region than others. For example, news outlets may focus on a particular political issue.
Depending on the type of news, breaking news may refer to old events, or it may refer to news that is currently breaking. Some 24-hour news channels use the term “breaking news” to fill time with commentary. Other forms of breaking news, such as “breaking flash” or “special report,” are used to describe a specific kind of news, such as a video or audio clip that has not yet been published.
Breaking news may interrupt scheduled programming, including a local newscast or an overnight news program. Oftentimes, programs will be paused to allow other network affiliates to join the feed. During this time, a live anchor may be present to provide live updates. In the case of a news report, the anchor may also introduce the story.
Another type of news is available online. Some of these publications are also available in print format. The Bentley Library can help you locate current news in a variety of forms.
