U.S., Ukrainian and European officials gathered in Switzerland on Sunday for talks on the contentious American peace plan proposal put to Kyiv this week, with terms critics say would constitute a Ukrainian capitulation.
A U.S. delegation that includes Army Secretary Daniel P. Driscoll, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and envoy Steve Witkoff will meet with Ukrainian officials in Geneva, a top U.S. official told ABC News Saturday. U.S. officials on Sunday added that U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Julie Davis, Jared Kushner, State Department Counselor Michael Needham, Deputy National Security Adviser Andy Baker, and EUCOM and NATO Supreme Allied Commander Gen. Alexus Grynkewich were also part of the U.S. delegation.

Breaking news refers to current events that have a significant impact on the public and require immediate reporting. Unlike regular news coverage, which may allow time for thorough research and fact-checking, breaking news stories prioritize urgency and immediacy, often leading to updates throughout the course of a story. The timeliness of breaking news makes it a popular topic for social media, which allows real-time information to be shared and distributed, including eyewitness accounts, official statements, and audience reactions. This can lead to ethical considerations, as the need for speed can sometimes override the obligation to report accurately and avoid spreading misinformation.
