Southern Illinois University Edwardsville continued its commencement exercises on Saturday, recognizing graduates from the School of Engineering and College of Arts and Sciences. Provost Denise Cobb led the ceremonies and conferred degrees. In the CAS program, Josie Pauley, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in applied communication studies, spoke to graduates. She urged them to live in the moment and make the most of each moment. The event marked the first of a series of commencement ceremonies that will honor 2,356 eligible graduates.
