It can also include tidbits about quirky events that take place in the world. While news stories have been called such since ancient times, technological and social developments have accelerated the spread of information. Today, news is delivered instantly, both online and on radio.
Bentley Library has several article and periodical databases that cover current news. You can use Bentley credentials to access these databases. Alternatively, you can perform a Google Search to find specific news publications. The Bentley Library also offers many publications in print. For Bentley University students, the library can be an excellent place to get current news.
Current news is always worth reading. There are plenty of opportunities to engage with local government officials and make a difference. In Sammamish, Washington, the city has invited proposals for a Classification and Compensation Study and highly encourages women-owned businesses. It is also home to the Progress Pride Flag Mosaic, which will be unveiled on September 14, 2022 in the Sammamish City Hall lobby. To get around town, you can ride Sound Transit and King County Metro for free.
Another event is the SIUE Cougars Unleashed Homecoming Run, which took place on Sept. 24. SIUE alum Laila Landreth (’04) participated in for nearly two years. She will be graduating in 2019 with a degree in business administration. This event is an opportunity to honor alumni who have made outstanding contributions and who embody SIUE’s core values. Additionally, SIUE recently set new enrollment records, including an all-time high. This year, SIUE also saw a 67% increase in international enrollment.
