Current News is information about the latest happenings around the world. You can find information about the latest happenings in the Middle East, the United States, and the world in general from a wide range of sources. Some of these news sources are also available in print. For example, you can check out the weekly magazine CSM, which covers US and international current events.

Cable news and broadcast news are both profitable businesses. In 2020, CNN, Fox, and MSNBC are projected to make a combined $3 billion profit. Free news streaming services would like to reap a share of this lucrative market. Many of them are similar to cable in their style and approach. In the meantime, they are telling viewers that they can cut their cable subscription and still get high-quality news.

But with the emergence of streaming news services, a long-established audience for television news is dying. The share of American households watching cable television declined from 76 percent in 2015 to just 56 percent by 2021. According to Nielsen, more than 85 percent of households now subscribe to a streaming service. This trend is likely to continue to accelerate as the population continues to live longer.

Despite this, the major networks are still optimistic about the streaming industry and have already invested millions of dollars in streaming operations. For instance, Fox has garnered 1.5 million subscribers to its Fox Nation streaming app. Meanwhile, NBC News Now boasts that it generates 31 million hours of content each month.
