Beginning September 7th, American Airlines will pull its regional service from four small towns citing the pilot shortage. United Airlines has also pulled out of around 20 cities since the pandemic’s start. Delta dropped 3. According to the Regional Airline Association, more than 300 airports have seen air service reductions in the last three years. Businesses and residents in places like Dubuque, Iowa are now hoping to fight that change and restore the loss of air service.

Current News is a resource for the public. Many publications cover a variety of topics. From the local to the international, the information available here can help you make sense of the world around you. You can also look up current news online. Some publications are also available in print. To locate them, do a search in Bentley Library’s database.
News sources are not reliable if they do not give the whole story. They have to be cross-checked with other sources. This way, you can be sure that the information is factual and PR-free. To do this, simply copy the headline of the story and type it into a search engine. If the story is supported by many sources, then it’s probably a fact.
Even local stations are starting to nichify their coverage. For instance, a recent shooting in Sacramento was picked up by the CBS network. Otherwise, the network would have been busy covering the Grammys, which would have preempted local coverage. Similarly, the local CBS affiliate in Pittsburgh piped its coverage to online news outlets as it was occurring.
While the critics of CNN were right about the speed of the adoption of cable TV, they missed the pent-up demand for alternatives. As Bharat Anand, the world’s leading business guru, says, “People are frustrated with low-quality products that cost a lot.” The frustration created by such products is kindling for innovators.
