If you are looking for current news, it’s good to start with the headline. The headline is the most important story in the paper. The largest bold print on the centerfold is intended to catch the attention of prospective buyers. It’s important to note that trending news is different from mainstream news. Depending on how many hits it receives, it may not be relevant. Stories that create ‘buzz’ usually trend well, but may not necessarily be relevant to society.

Current news can be broken down into two types: breaking and non-breaking. Breaking news refers to the most important story of the moment. This may include a live story, a special report, or a news flash. It’s also used to describe a story that is of general interest to a large audience. Breaking news, however, is not always newsworthy. For example, a story about a hurricane might be breaking news but not yet a breaking one.

Breaking news often involves the newscaster reminding viewers of upcoming network and local coverage of the event. Depending on the nature of the event, the network or local affiliate may show a live shot of the anchor. Later, a story about the president’s impeachment proceedings might be preempted. In this case, the local affiliate may pass along the newscast to the reporter covering the event. The reporter can share additional information as the story progresses.
