There have been many advances in the news industry over the last decades. The first step was the spread of paper. Next came radio and television. In the 20th century, radio was especially important as a way to transmit news.

Then, in the 1940s, Robert E. Park published his article “News as a Form of Knowledge” in the American Journal of Sociology.

News broadcasts are usually made via television or radio, but there are also a number of other media. Streaming is an increasingly popular method of providing news. This allows news to be transmitted instantly, wherever the viewer is.

Historically, the broadcast news industry has been profitable. In the last few years, however, the business has suffered from a lack of viewer demand. A recent study shows that fewer than half of Americans watch cable TV.

Today, more than 85 percent of households subscribe to at least one streaming service. It’s no surprise, then, that major streaming networks have already been established.

They offer programming from broadcast channels, as well as documentaries and even reruns. With streaming, there is more flexibility than ever before. For example, viewers can choose what they want to watch, and can block certain topics.

Streaming news has also helped break up the linear style of traditional television. When a breaking news story breaks, viewers can immediately tune in. Also, if a viewer has a smartphone, they can quickly watch a live news feed on their phone.
