Emu on the loose captured and handcuffed by police in Florida

Video shows a St. Johns County, Florida, police officer attempting to secure a runaway emu, but the large bird fled on foot.

After chasing it down, the officer cornered the emu, secured it with a makeshift lasso and handcuffed its legs, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.

The emu was later reunited with its owners and returned home safely.
