Five people on a Los Angeles International Airport shuttle bus were injured when the bus was involved in a “low-speed collision” with a tug pulling a passenger jet to a remote location for maintenance. Four of those injured were taken to the hospital and officials said the incident did not stop service at the airport.

Breaking News
A breaking news story is a major event that is being reported live by a broadcaster. It may have been previously reported on by other media or by the network itself, or it may be an unexpected event that the broadcaster feels is significant enough to warrant interruption of non-news programming to report its details.
It is important that the coverage be brief and not overly graphic in order to avoid arousing panic in viewers and to keep the information relevant. However, the coverage often does not include all of the available details and it is common for news organizations to make use of sketchy information that may later prove incorrect or unsatisfactory.
During a breaking news event, the program may be interrupted with an opening graphic stating the importance of the story. It may also feature music (such as NBC’s “The Pulse of Events”, composed by John Williams) which emphasises the situation. The news anchor may then introduce the story and provide additional details.
If the news story is a local one, it may be covered continuously by the station until they have a reporter at the scene, or until the news director decides that more detailed information about the story can be provided. Depending on the nature of the event, coverage may be passed to other media outlets as well, such as television and radio news channels and newspapers.
