What is Current News? Whether you prefer to read the latest news online, watch live TV, or listen to radio, Current News has something for you. It covers the major events of the day. Breaking news is the most important story of the moment and may be referred to as live or breaking news. It is also used to refer to a story of broad interest to a large audience. Sometimes, the term “breaking news” is substituted with “Just In.”

It is important to note that breaking news often occurs during prime time, which can interrupt newly airing programming or highly rated programs. This is particularly important in cases of political or military events. The news can also interrupt highly-rated programs with only a few minutes to air. The recent Shayrat missile strike interrupted ABC’s Scandal episode in April 2017.

However, some news events can take several days to be covered in full. For example, the Sago Mine disaster in Indonesia was reported as a disaster, but the death toll later came out to be one person. This is why early coverage of breaking news is often sketchy, as little information is available at the time. Other less important news is reported quickly and may not be updated if it turns out to be incorrect or incomplete. As a result, it is important to research the news before you watch it on TV.

While local news coverage is often more localized, it can also be broadcast on network news programs. In some cases, local news channels continue to air the same program that was interrupted by the breaking news. While a local newscast may continue airing its program, the network may cut away from the live shot of the anchor to continue covering the story. A reporter based at the location of the incident may also get more information and report on the story.
