There are a number of different media channels that provide current news. These include newspapers, radio, TV, magazines, and social media. However, the most important source is in-person conversations.

For example, the town crier walked around the village and bellowed out news. This was a better method than printing out a news sheet. The newssheet, however, could only be preserved for future reference.

In the twentieth century, radio and television became the main means of transmitting news. While radio could report only yesterday’s news, TV could report today’s news.

A new model of news making is emerging. While the old model centered on reporting the news, a more advanced model focuses on how the news makes an impact.

For instance, there is a “mirror model” that outlines how the news should reflect reality. It also highlights how journalists are expected to avoid bias.

Another model is the Organizational Model, which focuses on applying pressure to governmental processes. And it is not just news organizations that are being forced to conform. Governmental crackdowns can be a major news propagation channel.

Finally, there is the Internet’s role in the 21st century. Streaming has helped reduce the scarcity of content in the media equation. As such, it is possible to build a library of digital media on the cheap.

The simplest way to do this is to subscribe to a service like Readly, which provides a massive library of digital magazines for a monthly fee.
