Another model, called the Organizational Model, focuses on applying pressure to governmental processes. The Political Model, on the other hand, argues that news represents the ideological prejudices of the people who consume it.
While many news stories are based on current events, there are many different factors that influence the content and impact of a story. For instance, a story that has a strong impact on the viewer may be the result of a scandal or violence. In addition, a story that is close to a person’s heart may have more emotional resonance. A story that is timely may also get more coverage.
