The number of monkeypox cases in the U.S., currently more than 5,000, continues to grow. New York City Mayor Eric Adams has declared a state of emergency due to the spread of disease.
The term “breaking news” is used interchangeably with “late breaking news,” “special report,” “special coverage,” and “news flash.” It refers to a live story that has widespread appeal and interest among television viewers. The term may also be used to describe a story that has been delayed by a news organization. Alternatively, “Just In” is used to describe a story that is breaking news and is not yet available elsewhere.
