Trending is a section of the website that talks about what is currently happening in the news and other popular topics. Oftentimes the Trending page will include popular articles and videos about Current News that are getting a lot of attention on social media.
When a news event is so urgent that it requires immediate coverage, broadcasters will interrupt regular programming with a breaking news report. This may also be referred to as a Newsflash or Special Report. Before the advent of 24-hour news networks, these breaks were usually reserved for extremely major events such as the assassination of John F.
