The Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine held its 20th annual White Coat Ceremony on May 6, honoring outstanding students from nearly two dozen departments. The ceremony was the largest one-day gathering of graduates in the medical school. The honors ceremony recognized the first-year cohort of 50 dental students, including six IAPP students. Chancellor James T. Minor welcomed the attendees and gave a speech that urged them to “live in the moment” and make the most of every opportunity.
