Current News is information that is shared by the media to an audience. It can be in the form of print, radio, or television. It is often referred to as hard news, in contrast to soft news. A story can be both local and international, and it can be about war, government, health, education, business, entertainment, or even a quirkier event. Government proclamations and events have long been considered news, but modern technology has made the spread of news faster than ever.

Today, social media has changed the way news is gathered, and this has affected traditional news organizations as well. It is now owned by the Unification Church company News World Communications.
