Whether you’re looking for current news or want to learn about a specific topic, there are many tools you can use to keep up with the information you need. Some of the most popular sources of information include television, magazines and digital magazines, and in-person conversations.

In addition, there are apps that are designed specifically to keep you up to date with the news. These include NewsBreak, which lets you follow trends, block topics, and write opinions.

Readly, a digital magazine app, allows you to read 6300 different digital newspapers and magazines. It also has a quiz to help you gauge how well you know the latest news.

During the fall, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville hosted its Digital Humanities Student Showcase, which featured innovative student projects using digital tools. The college’s faculty and staff were proud of their students’ work.

For nine years in a row, SIUE has received INSIGHT Into Diversity’s Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award, which honors colleges and universities for their dedication to diversity and inclusive education. This year, the university will celebrate with a virtual and in-person event.

The school will also continue its Homecoming festivities. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with Enterprise Holdings Foundation.

SIUE’s Educational Leadership program has selected 10 students for its ISLPP, or Illinois School Leadership Pipeline Program. These are aspiring principals from smaller districts and communities stretching from northern to southern Illinois.

This fall, the IRIS Center hosted the Digital Humanities Student Showcase, which featured students’ work in this burgeoning field. Five of the award winners used nostalgia to engage with audiences, while other entries focused on targeted audiences like parents and nontraditional students.
