Trump accounts, tax-advantaged savings accounts for children, have launched. ABC News’ Selina Wang reports on what parents and caregivers should know.
Trending is a graphic that shows what stories are currently being discussed on social media. It is usually displayed above the regular top-of-the-hour news ticker, but it can also be inserted into any non-news segment of a broadcast. If the story is significant enough, it may interrupt current non-news programming (and occasionally, regular newscasts), resulting in a “Newsflash” or “Special report”. In the past, this type of reporting was reserved for events that demanded nationwide coverage and required stations to interrupt normal programming, such as the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963. This kind of break is still used, but is more common at 24-hour news channels that have anchors ready for interruption at all times.
