Free news streamers are offering viewers a taste of cable-quality news. They are hoping to get a share of the $3 billion profit the networks make from subscriptions.
Online video is set to disrupt the political news scene. Streaming will give new overtly political news operations a chance to gain a foothold. However, online streaming isn’t bound by costly negotiations with cable companies.
