One of the most powerful hurricanes ever to strike Florida is now expected to continue to cut across the state, leaving a path of destruction and flooding.
The Illinois Department of Transportation has opened up the application process for its Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program, which allocates funding to communities with the greatest transportation needs. Another recent announcement is the opening of a new maintenance and storage facility at Pace’s Plainfield Park-n-Ride. This was made possible by a $52 million investment from the governor’s Rebuild Illinois capital program.
In addition, SIUE has recently celebrated the ten members of its 2022 Alumni Hall of Fame, which was held at the Morris University Center Meridian Ballroom. The Hall of Fame honors those who embody SIUE’s values and mission. This year, SIUE has also set new enrollment records, including a 44-year high for fall 2022. It has also increased its international enrollment by 67% over fall 2021.
