The latest fad in higher education enrollment marketing involves segmenting and targeting the right people. However, how do you know which pieces of the puzzle are worth the effort? Here are five tips to help you find the best fit for your student population.

A recent survey of more than 400 higher education professionals revealed that only eight percent of participants had heard of the higher education accreditation council (HEAC) or the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AACU). In a bid to make enrollment marketing easier to understand and less expensive to implement, HEAC and AACU have launched a joint initiative to increase collaboration. This includes a series of webinars and a student forum.

The AAEM has a few new initiatives, such as announcing their 2020 EM Pain and Procedural Committee. Additionally, the organization has signed on to the H.R.6910 “Commit to Student Success Act” and has been endorsed by the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.

On a more positive note, AAEM has a slew of new initiatives to support the private equity industry. These include a new EM Pain and Procedural Committee, an EM Pain and Procedural Research and Education Center, and a new EM pain and procedural clinical trial. AAEM’s newest initiatives are designed to promote the growth of the EM profession.

SIUE’s observable odometer has ticked up a few notches with a successful Homecoming and Native Heritage Month. SIUE has also received the aforementioned small-but-powerful award from INSIGHT Into Diversity. For nine straight years, SIUE has received this honor.
