Several Black lawmakers in Alabama are voicing their frustrations over the Republican push for redistricting in the state, with some saying the fight over the district maps feels personal. WSFA’s Nai Remy reports.

Depending on the severity of the news event, national network broadcasters may interrupt current non-news programming or regular network affiliate newscasts to air breaking news coverage. This typically starts with a countdown sequence on the network feed, followed by an opening graphic and distinctive music cue. Then, the newscast is paused or cut to a breaking news report, with a special station identification on the bottom of the screen. Breaking news reports can also include analysis from in-studio guests or via phone, satellite, broadband (B-GAN), or other sources. In addition, alert crawls and lower third graphics are often used during breaking events to signal urgency.
