There are many different ways to keep up with the latest current news. Some news sources are free and others require a subscription. Some of the free news sources are a good place to start for local news. For example, if you’re looking for the latest on a particular subject, you can check out the current news from a local radio station or TV station. You can also subscribe to a news service and get updates from thousands of news sources around the world.

In the past, you’d need to hire a town crier to bellow the latest news in a small village. This approach was limited by distance and the news sources he could access. But as the internet and streaming television grew in popularity, news networks recognized that the public preferred this form of media. Streaming allowed them to reach a wider audience and capture an advantage over their competition. Streaming was more convenient, more accessible and easier to share. The newssheet was also portable and can be saved for future reference. Print, however, stuck in time. While radio and television reported on yesterday’s events, streaming services provided live events.

Many news networks are experimenting with new ways to deliver news to their viewers. Some have even begun streaming a local version of their content. CBS News, for example, has several local stations that stream local news. This way, their coverage of the Sacramento shooting will not clash with Grammys coverage, which would have preempted local coverage.
