Streaming news has the power to reshape news coverage. This nifty-looking technology delivers content on demand, so you can watch it anywhere. It reduces the scarcity of media and allows you to customize your experience.

A streaming news site can include links to local TV stations and online newspapers. The news site is usually independent and objective. It may also include blogs, newsletters, and award-winning publications.

The most important component of a streaming news site is the content. For example, a streaming news site may include a comprehensive country list, which includes local news from across the country. It may also feature links to major international news services.

Another important component of a streaming news site is news analysis. Major streaming networks schedule regular nightly news programs. In addition, many offer reruns of past programming.

The network may also include a “special report” in its news coverage. These programs may be short-form or longer-form and may include an internal alert service.

Historically, the broadcast news business has been a profitable business. However, commercial-averse viewers may choose not to pay for television news. This creates the perfect kindling for new innovators.

One of the first breaking news interruptions occurred when CBS News’ Walter Cronkite reported on the Kennedy assassination. The network’s coverage also reflected the fumbling technology of the era.

Another breaking news event was the April 2017 Shayrat missile strike, which interrupted the new episode of Scandal. The network’s coverage was accompanied by an outro promo directing viewers to the network’s website or other platforms.
