What’s Trending

A breaking news story is a topic of national or international importance that prompts a television, radio, or print media to interrupt current non-news programming (or, in some cases, regular, nationally scheduled newscasts) to report on the event. When an event is significant enough, a network may even suspend its own newscast to allow affiliate stations to join in on its reporting. Usually, the interruption begins with a network feed telling stations to stand by, then a countdown that ends with a distinctive audio cue, indicating the beginning of a breaking news report. Sometimes, lower thirds and other graphics are altered to convey a sense of urgency.

Hallie Jackson travels to remote New Mexico to investigate questions surrounding why Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro Ranch wasn’t searched sooner. Also, Joe Rogan explains why he believes President Trump is right to fast-track research on therapeutic uses of psychedelic drugs like Ibogaine. Plus, a group is offering LGBTQ immigrants wellness allowances for yoga and haircuts.
