If you’re looking to subscribe to the current news, there are several options available. The AAAS recently announced a new pricing plan for its News from Science publication. It will now cost $2.99/month for new subscribers, and $25/year for existing subscribers. Existing News subscribers will be unaffected by the April 30th change. They will be automatically switched to the new monthly price of $2.99/month, and can then opt to upgrade to an annual $25/year subscription.
The Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine will hold its 20th White Coat Ceremony on May 6 and 7. Honors Day honors outstanding students in nearly two dozen departments. During the ceremony, the first-year dental cohort, comprising of 50 students, will be honored, as will six IAPP students. Professor Denise Cobb will deliver the remarks. The ceremony will honor the recipients of the honorary plaques and $100 in cash. In addition to the monetary award, the honorary plaques are given to the graduates.
