In addition to honoring outstanding students in nearly two dozen departments, Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine also held its 20th annual White Coat Ceremony on May 6. The event was attended by about 2,356 first-year dental students and six IAPP students. Chancellor James T. Minor will be the keynote speaker for the seven commencement ceremonies, which celebrate the graduating class of more than 2,000 eligible students. The honorary plaques and $100 each will be given to the honorees.
