Many major streaming networks schedule regular nightly news programs and feature documentaries and news analysis. These networks also repurpose programming from cable and broadcast networks. Some are chasing breaking news and offering reruns, while others reposition themselves as alternatives to traditional TV.
The service includes millions of articles from major news sources and includes television and radio transcripts. It also provides daily updates from the most popular news sources. It also includes cover-to-cover full text for many major newspapers and selected full text from hundreds of regional and local newspapers. It also includes the Associated Press, which provides full text for AP articles.
Many major networks are investing hundreds of millions of dollars in streaming operations. NBC News Now, for example, boasts 100 million video views per month. Its rival, CNN+, failed to attract viewers. But the network has high hopes. It invested millions to create a streaming service, and it has been able to attract 1.5 million subscribers.
Other recent developments include an upcoming ED Management Solutions Course hosted by the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM). The course is open to the public and is free of charge.
