Meanwhile, in Ukraine, dozens of women have taken to the streets to call for more protection for the ethnic Hazara community.
In the local area, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville hosted its 2022 Cougars Unleashed Homecoming Run on Sept. 24. This event celebrated the accomplishments of alumni from the college and the community. One of the honorees was SIUE graduate Laila Landreth, who had been participating in the run for nearly two years. The 2019 business administration graduate hails from Copenhagen, Denmark.
The City of Sammamish, Washington, is currently seeking proposals for a Classification and Compensation Study. The city is a strong supporter of women-owned businesses and encourages them to apply. In addition, the Progress Pride Flag Mosaic will be unveiled in the lobby of Sammamish City Hall on September 14, 2022. King County Metro and Sound Transit also offer free transit for children and young people.
