Gas prices could reach a national average of $4 per gallon as early as this week as Energy Secretary Christ Wright is warning that Americans would feel higher prices at the pump for “a few more weeks.” It comes as gas prices are already up 70 cents from before the war with Iran began. About Trending
When a news event elicits nationwide coverage that requires interruption of regular programming, the news broadcaster will issue a “Newsflash” or “Special Report”. This normally interrupts network television and radio programs, but may also interrupt locally produced newscasts. The network will alert its affiliates that it will pause its national feed and then launch into a countdown sequence to allow affiliated stations to join the newscast. In many cases, the station identification is overlaid on top of this sequence. Alert crawls may be used in lieu of these sequences, but are normally used only for severe weather events that require immediate, ongoing coverage.
