These databases also provide coverage of major national and world events.

The BBC is one of the most trusted sources for news. Half of its circulation is sold in the United States. The American Broadcasting Company, owned by Disney, is another popular source. And the German public broadcaster CSM publishes a weekly magazine focusing on US and international current events. Besides these, fareed Zakaria, an Indian-American journalist, is a columnist for The Washington Post.

When reading the news, it’s vital to distinguish between opinions and facts. The latter are more likely to be true, but opinions can be disputed. To make sure, it’s essential to cross-check a story’s facts with other sources. To do this, simply copy the headline and run a search. If there are several sources citing the story, it’s more likely to be true.
