The first live transcontinental satellite interview occurred on “Meet the Press” on September 19, 1965. Harold Winston, British prime minister, joined the broadcast from BBC Studios in London. Winston discussed the U.K.’s relationship with China and India, amid disputes.

As the number of television viewers continues to decline, current news programs are finding it harder to compete with streaming services. As a result, the news industry has started to look at streaming as an opportunity to compete. Streaming allows networks to archive content without the costs of building a library. It also makes the news more accessible and allows viewers to watch it anytime and anywhere.
Monkeypox is a contagious disease that is highly contagious, but most cases are preventable. The disease is spread through close contact, including kissing, hugging, and sharing personal items with a person with the disease. To avoid contacting monkeypox, people should avoid skin-to-skin contact in crowded areas and with people who have a rash.
The University of Southern Illinois Edwardsville’s Educational Leadership program has selected 10 students to participate in the Illinois School Leadership Pipeline Program (ISLPP). The 10 aspiring principals come from large and small school districts, as well as from rural communities. In addition to students, the program also includes associate professors and an academic marketing expert. Tolson will assume the position of executive director of the program effective Dec. 7, 2022.
The City of Sammamish Department of Community Development has posted responses to questions regarding their Arborist. They have also appointed Steve Lysaght as the city’s new police chief. Lysaght previously served in the King County Sheriff’s Office.
