Madeleine Albright, the first female secretary of state, joined “Meet the Press” on September 15, 1996 to discuss criticisms the Clinton administration faced for their relationship with the Middle East. Albright said “it took a while” for the U.S. to put together an international coalition around attacking Saddam Hussein.
