Southern Illinois University Edwardsville kicked off its commencement exercises on Friday, honoring the graduates of its College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering. Graduates were awarded their degrees by the university’s provost, Denise Cobb. Graduate Josie Pauley, who earned a bachelor’s degree in applied communication studies, spoke to the CAS students at the commencement ceremony.
